The District Missionary is appointed by the District Superintendent in consultation with his wife! The District Missionary is the “counterpart to the Superintendent just as the Supervisor works alongside the Bishop. The District Missionary is to support the District Superintendent and also work alongside the Jurisdictional Supervisor. The District Missionary is to ensure that the Women’s Department in the District is empowering, inspiring and mobilizing especially to the women in the District. The District Missionary should identify areas of need and concern for women and children in the district and implement programs to strengthen them. The District Missionary reports and supports her District Superintendent. They are also the hands and feet in districts for the Jurisdictional Women’s Department. The District Missionary will be called to periodic meetings with the Jurisdictional Supervisor. The District Missionary works alongside the Pastor’s Wives, Minister and Elder’s Wives, Church Mothers and missionaries in the District!
