Pastor David Mohlake assumed the role of Evangelism President for the South Africa First Jurisdiction in November 2023, appointed by Bishop Mathews alongside Elder Charles Mohale as his Assistant. In this crucial position, Pastor Mohlake spearheads initiatives to advance the Kingdom of heaven by declaring the Gospel through various avenues such as Crusades, Open Air Services, Prison Ministry, Revivals, Elderly Care Facilities, Homeless Ministry, and more.
In 2016, Pastor Mohlake was appointed to the Evangelism team by the late Missions President, Pastor John Magwati. During his tenure, the team successfully planted three churches through open-air revivals in Ivory Park and Tembisa under the leadership of the Head Quarters District.
Pastor Mohlake received Christ in November 2021 during a tent revival, marking a significant turning point in his spiritual journey.
As the Senior Pastor at Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Ivory Park, Pastor Mohlake led the church in impactful community outreach during the challenging period of COVID-19. The church, in collaboration with the district, distributed over 500 food parcels to families in need and provided approximately 1000 school shoes to less privileged children.
In the face of tragedy, the church also played a vital role in building about 20 shacks for community members who lost their homes in fires, hosting the victims and providing them with daily meals.
Pastor Mohlake completed his matric in 1999 and pursued studies in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, earning certificates in both fields. Additionally, he holds a certificate in ministry from CFCI Bible College.
Pastor Mohlake hails from the village of Ngobi, next to Hammanskraal in the North-West Province of South Africa. Born to Japie and Esther Mohlake, he has two sisters, Sinah and Masego. Pastor Mohlake is happily married to Valerie Mohlake, and together, they are blessed with two children, Mbali and Obone.
Pastor David Mohlake’s life and ministry reflect a deep commitment to spreading the Gospel and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
