Missions President

Elder Sizwe Lubuzo, appointed as the Missions President for SA First Jurisdiction in 2023 by Bishop Mathews, is a dedicated servant with a rich history of service within the church. Prior to his current role, he served as the Missions Coordinator, a position to which he was appointed by the late Mission President of the Jurisdiction, Pastor John Magwati.
In his capacity as the Missions President, Elder Lubuzo plays a crucial role in collaborating with local churches across all districts within the 1st Jurisdiction. Working alongside missionaries, his primary focus is to fulfill the tasks associated with evangelism. These tasks encompass fostering church growth, planting new churches, and providing valuable support to communities.
He joined Tabernacle Church Of God In Christ in February 2013 after surrendering his life to Christ. Since joining the church, he has actively participated in various ministries, currently leading the discipleship ministry at Tabernacle Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor David Mohlake.
Professionally, Elder Lubuzo is a qualified Mechanical Engineer from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He currently serves as a team leader and measurement specialist at an environmental consulting company specializing in air quality. His responsibilities include conducting emission measurements (gaseous and particulate) at various air-polluting industries such as mines, coal-fired power stations, refineries, and cement plants.
In his personal life, Elder Sizwe Lubuzo is happily married to Aseza Lubuzo, and the couple is blessed with a son.
